Bryan Rodriguez
Chief Talent Officer
Tenure:
Been with Silicon Valley Pride: four years.
Board member: three years.

Why I Volunteer:
I volunteer because I don’t want this celebration of LGBTQ+ identity, culture and history in the South Bay to end. The LGBTQ+ community welcomed me when I came here from my small hometown, and I felt it was time for me to give back. I volunteered for the first time at the 2016 festival, and then I decided to join the board as the Volunteer Coordinator in 2017. I am able to live out and proud because of the work people before me accomplished, and I choose to honor their work by volunteering for Silicon Valley Pride.

About Me:
I am from a small city on the Central Coast. I came to San Jose to finish my college degree, and I never left. My husband, my friends, and much of my chosen family live here. This is my hometown now, and this is my community. I like cooking, entertaining, wine, smart yet ridiculous comedies, and reading Fantasy/Science Fiction. Oh, and, I love Zumba & UJam (secretly, I wish I were a better dancer).

Ask Me About:
Ask me about wine, Zumba, RuPauls Drag Race, Chewing Gum, or volunteering. For me, making a commitment to volunteer was scary at first, but, it was more rewarding than I imagined. We need the help of our community to make this Pride a success. Take the plunge! Volunteer.
My Hopes:
I hope that this Pride festival will grow in attendance and be able to offer wider range of entertainment. I also hope that it will still continue to feel like a Pride festival which represents the community and is supported by the community. I hope that you will get involved.
