About Nicole Altamirano, COO
Been with Silicon Valley Pride: three years.
Board member: three years.
Why I Volunteer:
This is my first year with Silicon Valley Pride. With the political climate the way it is, I felt a deep sense of urgency to get involved. When asked if I wanted to be a part of this organization, I jumped at the chance. I feel that it is important now so more than ever to be loud and PROUD of who you are. Silicon Valley Pride has afforded me the opportunity to work with many other organizations, including helping organize the Equality March that happened on June 11, 2017. I am excited to see what this year’s pride events will bring!
I was born and raised in San Jose! I am currently employed by the City of San Jose. I work in the City Manager’s Budget Office. My wife and my two beautiful babies (Chihuahuas) are my world. I am an outspoken individual who stands up for what I believe.
Ask Me About:
Logistics, my political beliefs, or my dogs (warning: If you ask me about my dogs there will be pictures involved, because they are so beautiful of course!). If you have questions regarding our event feel free to contact me, if I don’t know the answer I will get one for you.
That every pride will be bigger than the next. That Silicon Valley Pride will continue work with other organizations in the community to bridge the gap within our own community. That someday soon every LGBTQ+ individual will be afforded the same rights as everyone else.
