Gender Health Center and Gender Clinic at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center 

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center’s Gender Health Center in Downtown San Jose and Valley Homeless Healthcare Program in East San Jose specialize in care for trans, non-binary, and gender expansive people. We offer medical care, mental-emotional health care, social work, and community connection.

In-Home Supportive Services

The IHSS Program pays for services provided to you so you can remain safely in your own home. To be eligible, you must be over 65 years of age or disabled or blind. Disabled children are also potentially eligible for IHSS. IHSS is an alternative to out-of-home care such as nursing homes or board and care facilities.

The LGBTQ Youth Space

The LGBTQ Youth Space is a Program of Family & Children Services and Caminar. We are a community drop-in center and mental health program for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and ally youth and young adults ages 13-25 who live in Santa Clara County.

OCC seeks to work collaboratively with partners to promote a community where cultural understanding and equality are shared values. We do this by addressing racial disproportionality in systems, ensuring cultural responsivity in service delivery, active and continuous community engagement, and commitment to authentic partnership and service.


Office of Gender-Based Violence Prevention

The Office of Gender-Based Violence Prevention was established in September 2019 to improve collaboration and coordination across County stakeholders in order to improve long-term outcomes for survivors of violence. To achieve success, we work with county departments and service providers to create a shared vision that aligns key outcomes across support, prevention and response systems.

The mission of the Office of Labor Standards Enforcement (OLSE) is to advance labor standards through thoughtful community and business engagement, strategic enforcement, innovation and study, and policy development with a commitment to social justice. OLSE achieves this through: Enforcement and Regulation; The Labor Standards Outreach and Education Initiative; Research and Policy.


Office of LGBTQ Affairs

The Office of LGBTQ Affairs provides leadership and support for the well-being and longevity of LGBTQ communities in Santa Clara County through coordinated, integrated approaches. Our work focuses on policies, trainings/consultations, coalition building, program development and funding, resource/case navigation, and more.


Office of Women’s Policy

The Office of Women's Policy hosts the Girls Advisory Team, a leadership program open to youth interested in becoming ambassadors for gender equity issues and live in Santa Clara County. PACE is a HIV care and treatment clinic within the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center network. Our services include HIV primary care, nutrition, social work, benefits, behavioral health, education, community outreach, PREP and much more. Project MORE

Project MORE is a nonprofit organization that serves the LGBTQ+ community through thoughtful advocacy, engaging campaigns, cultural events, creative consulting, and supportive services. We strive to make a difference, break down barriers, build community, and enrich the lives of LGBTQ+ people.


The Q Corner 

The Q Corner is a peer-driven, Behavioral Health Services Department program, supporting the LGBTQ+ community & their friends, families, & allies. Our services include: support navigating resources & referrals, peer support & mentoring, community building activities, & best practice focused trainings.


Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters

The Registrar of Voters (ROV) is responsible for election planning and administration for Santa Clara County. We have 98 drop-boxes and 100 Vote Centers located throughout the county or you can vote in person at the Registrar of Voter’s office starting October 5th.

Established in 2010, the Suicide Prevention Program has the mission of reducing and preventing suicides in Santa Clara County, by bringing community awareness to the issue and engaging in community prevention efforts.

11. Tobacco-Free_Communities_Program_192

Tobacco-Free Communities Program, County of Santa Clara Public Health Department

Program activities focus on community mobilization to reduce appeal and acceptability of tobacco use, resulting largely from tobacco industry marketing and racial and social inequities that created tobacco-related disparities, including higher tobacco use in the LGBTQ community. Join our movement!
