Sera Fernando
Chief Diversity Officer
Tenure:
Been with Silicon Valley Pride: two years.
Board member: since December, 2018.
Why I Volunteer:
I volunteer because I want to ensure Silicon Valley Pride represents the entire Bay Area LGBTQ+ spectrum. I want all LGBTQ+ identifying folks across all intersections that attend our Pride festivities and other year-round Silicon Valley Pride events to know that they are welcome, that they exist, and that they belong. And I encourage all our allies to come to our events, celebrate our LGBTQ+ community in solidarity, and walk away with a stronger sense of what it takes to become a super ally.
About Me:
I am queer trans women of color that seeks to empower billions though outreach, inclusion, intersectionality, and storytelling. Storyteller, manga collector, closet cosplayer, and tea critic. Say hi.
