The LGBTQ+ community has always been about coming together to support each other through every adversity – and doing it with joy and pride.
So, we here at Silicon Valley Pride and the Hey Girl! Collective decided that we’re not going to let our physical isolation get in the way of embracing and helping our neighbors! Check out the links below to find the help and community you need.

Utilities and Transportation
Local utilities are providing free services and hardship programs for people impacted by Covid-19

VTA will operate bus, light rail and paratransit services for essential travel and will not be collecting fares at this time.
Support for Performing Artists: Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS Covid-19 Emergency Assistance Fund
According to their website, “Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund will help entertainment professionals meet coronavirus-related expenses and other challenges brought about by the evolving pandemic… These services are available to everyone in the performing arts and entertainment industry.”

Gender Spectrum helps to create gender sensitive and inclusive environments
for all children and teens. They’ve posted a comprehensive set of links online sources of support, community, and health resources for transgender and gender-expansive youth and their families

“Silicon Valley Strong calls on the community to stay informed and look out for each other. General Support for Families and Children (English and Spanish):
The attached pdf files below from the Universal Access Program provide a comprehensive set of resources for families and children in need of assistance with food, housing, unemployment benefits, immigration issues, and behavioral health services.
Disability, Unemployment and Paid Family Leave Benefits
The California Employment Development Department “provides a variety of support services to individuals affected by COVID-19 in California,” including access to disability, unemployment and paid family leave benefits.
